Urban Platter’s Black salt is made with salt from the Sambhar lake. This highly sought after salt is infused with triphala (alma, behada,harada) and babul bark. It is then fired in earthen pots at temperatures reaching 800 degrees, this traditional cooking process gives the salt its characteristic purple-black color and its innate sulphur taste and smell
